Blizzard fans were caught off guard when the only way to access the highly anticipated Diablo 4 beta was by ordering from KFC.
As of March 17, gamers took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the unexpected promo, with reactions ranging from shock to humor.
Prior to the beta launch, players could pre-order Diablo 4 to secure a beta code.
However, this option is no longer available now that the beta has begun.
This left many gamers scrambling to get their hands on a code, some opting to order from KFC solely for the promo.

One Reddit user, kuroineko666, expressed frustration over the promotion, posting an “anti-vegan beta key” thread.
They questioned why the only way to access the beta was by “ordering a dead chicken from KFC“.
On the other hand, some gamers found humor in the situation, asking whether they actually had to pick up the sandwich to get the code.
Despite the mixed reactions, the beta code is available to anyone in the United States who orders a Double Down sandwich or other valid options.
However, the promotion did not include a vegan or vegetarian meal option.
Diablo 4 is set to launch on June 6, 2023, with another beta taking place next week from March 24 to 26, which will be open to the public.
