Terms and Conditions
This policy was last updated on May 8, 2025
Before you dive into the latest hot takes, indie gems, and lovingly overanalyzed trailers, we've got to lay down some rules. Not the kind that ruins the fun—just enough to keep Gamelance from turning into the final boss of the internet.
By using this site, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, that's cool—but maybe don't stick around.
1. What You're Allowed to Do
We built Gamelance so gamers, critics, lurkers, and curious button-smashers alike could enjoy news, opinions, and occasional chaos. Here's what you can do:
- Read, share, and link to our articles
- Quote small bits of content (with credit)
- Use the site for personal, non-commercial fun
Want to use anything for business or broadcast? Ask us first.
2. What You're Not Allowed to Do
We're chill, but we do have boundaries. Don't:
- Copy, download, or redistribute our content without permission
- Modify or republish our reviews or articles as your own
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to crawl the site
- Try to break, exploit, or reverse-engineer anything here
- Post spam, hate speech, or anything legally shady
We reserve the right to boot anyone who breaks these rules.
3. Intellectual Property
Everything on Gamelance—from the logo and design to the rants, reviews, and roundups—is owned by us (unless we clearly say otherwise). That includes:
- Text, graphics, code, and layout
- Original videos, screenshots, and designs
- Branding and trademarks
You can share our content, but you don't own it. Please don't act like you do.
4. External Links & Third-Party Content
We often link to game publishers, trailers, patch notes, and spicy dev tweets. But once you leave our site, you're on your own:
- We don't control external sites
- We're not responsible for their content or policies
- Clicking those links means you're subject to their terms, not ours
Check their health bars yourself before diving in.
5. No Accounts, No Problem
Right now, Gamelance doesn't use login systems. No profiles, no passwords, no forums. That may change in the future, and if it does, we'll update these terms and give you a heads-up.
If you email us or interact with us on social media, just know those platforms have their own rules too.
6. No Warranties, No Rage Quits
This site is provided as-is. We do our best to keep things accurate, up-to-date, and typo-free—but we're only human. We make no promises that:
- The site will always be online
- Content will always be error-free
- Your browser won't have a bad day
Use the site at your own risk. We're not responsible for what you do with the info you find here.
7. Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gamelance is not liable for:
- Damages to your device or data
- Bad decisions based on our content
- Missed launches, broken hype, or mid sequels
- Any losses, direct or indirect, from using this site
If you're in a place that doesn't allow these limitations, some of this might not apply to you—but we still think you should be nice.
8. Jurisdiction
We're based in India, so these terms follow Indian laws. If you're browsing from elsewhere, you're responsible for following your local laws too.
If there's ever a legal dispute (please no), it'll be handled in the courts of India.
9. Changes to These Terms
Like patch notes, these terms may change from time to time. When we update them:
- We'll change the “Last Updated” date up top
- The new version will take effect immediately
- Your continued use means you're cool with it
We won't send a newsletter about it—just check back occasionally if you care.
